Left work, drifted into town to find anywhere that would sell me a birthday card at 6.30. Found a cute piece of Cambridge tat in Borders, and then spent 15 minutes reading "That Yellow Bastard" (the shop is full of copies because of the film). I don't usually read whole things in shops, but it was a bit unputdownable - and I didn't bend the spine... Still maintain that at pretty much a pound a minute graphic novels are a luxury I can't afford at the moment though. Shame, it would be good to read the rest... and to re read Sandman...

Then went to Richards birthday party, where there were far more people I knew than I was expecting. It was really nice, and the formal food was of a surprisingly good standard. I didn't stay too late, as I am weary and need my sleep, or else there will be another unproductive day at work tomorrow.
